PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jeannie Wallner (LIU, F, Fr., Kings Park, N.Y.)
Taking on Sacred Heart this past weekend, Wallner scored two goals in her team’s 3-2 victory on Friday before setting up the game-tying goal in an eventual 2-1 win over the Pioneers on Saturday. She also was 14-for-19 on face-offs during her team’s 2-0 week and blocked two shots.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alva Johnsson (LIU, D, Jr., Stockholm, Sweden)
Johnsson helped the Sharks pick up two victories against NEWHA-opponent Sacred Heart this past week, blocking three shots and scoring the game-winning overtime goal against the Pioneers on Saturday.

GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Suzette Faucher (Franklin Pierce, G, So., Middleton, Wis.)
For the second consecutive Saturday, Faucher made 41 saves in net for the Ravens, this time logging her first collegiate shutout in Franklin Pierce’s 4-0 victory over Holy Cross. To date this season, she has stopped 82 of a possible 83 shots.

Tindra Holm (LIU, G, Fr., Skelleftea, Sweden)
Made 50 saves on 52 shots in back-to-back NEWHA victories for LIU over Sacred Heart, conceding just two power-play goals. Holm helped the team finish 9-for-11 on the penalty kill over the weekend. She leads the NEWHA in minutes played (303:35) and has a .934 save percentage.
