Player of the Month
Brooklyn Schneiderhan, Saint Anselm College
The senior forward was a key contributor for the Hawks throughout September and October, tallying five goals (third in league) and eight assists (first in league) for a total of 13 points (first in league). She maintained a plus-two rating through the opening nine games and posted a plus-five rating in conference contests. The senior captain was only whistled for two penalties, totaling four penalty minutes. The Helena, Mont. native received the NEWHA Player of the Week award for Week 1 (September 30, 2025). She was a major contributor in the Hawks' start to the season, their best start through 10 games since the team posted a 6-4-0 record to open the 2019-20 campaign.
Defensive Player of the Month
Maggie Korneta, Franklin Pierce University
The senior defender contributed on both ends of the ice for the Ravens during the season's opening months of September and October. She tallied three assists for three total points over the opening nine games. Korneta also recorded 19 blocks and posted a plus-three rating, plus-five in conference play, helping the Ravens to their three wins to start the season. The Naperville, Ill. native's defensive presence was crucial, as she tallied 13 total shots through September/October.
Goaltender of the Month
Jillian Petruno, Sacred Heart University
The senior was between the pipes for seven games for the beginning months of the Pioneers' 2025-26 campaign, stringing together a 4-3-0 record through the first two months. She allowed just 11 goals, maintaining a 1.72 goals-against-average and a .849 save percentage, while tallying 200 total saves. She recorded one shutout in a 6-0 victory over Saint Michael's (Oct. 25). The Wixom, Mich. native has jumped right back into action after a long road to recovery from an injury that limited her to just nine appearances in the 2024-25 season.
Rookie of the Month
Kayla Czukoski, Saint Anselm College
The freshman netminder helped backstop the Hawks to their best start through 10 games since the 2019-20 season. She recorded a Saint Anselm record for most saves in regulation with 66 stops in a 4-1 loss to Boston College (Oct. 4). She followed up her record-setting performance with another 51 total saves at Maine. Czukoski posted a .934 save percentage with 365 total saves during the opening two months with a 2.94 goals against average. At the end of October, she posted a 4-5-0 record, including four conference wins, to help the Hawks to the top of the NEWHA standings. The Exton, Pa. native was awarded the NEWHA Rookie of the Week award for the first three consecutive weeks to open the season.
