Five NEWHA Goaltenders Named to National Goalie of the Year Watch List
WINTHROP, Mass. – Five goaltenders from New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) institutions have been named to the Hockey Commissioners Association's (HCA) Watch List for the 2026 National Women's Goalie of the Year, the Association announced Wednesday.
Representing the NEWHA on the initial Watch List are Saint Anselm's Kayla Czukoski, Franklin Pierce's Jill Hertl, Sacred Heart's Jillian Petruno, Post's Hannah Saunders, and Assumption's Jadyn Weiser.
To qualify for the initial Watch List, goalies must have posted a goals against average of 2.20 or lower or a save percentage of .923 or higher by January 13.
The list will become shortened over the next two weeks, and a winner will be announced at the NCAA Frozen Four in March.
